]]>Gary is a much-loved artist at the gallery and has a long-standing relationship with both the gallery and our collectors. Over the years, he has visited on numerous occasions, painting live and meeting collectors, so this cancellation is understandably disappointing for all involved.
We continue to work closely with Gary and look forward to sharing news of his upcoming Spring releases very soon. Updates will be shared via our mailing list and on Instagram, or you’re very welcome to contact the gallery if you have any questions.
Treeby & Bolton Gallery had planned to welcome back renowned marine artist Gary Walton for a Meet the Artist event.
Gary’s distinctive work has long been a favourite with collectors. Known for his quirky boats at low tide, characterful harbours and charmingly lopsided cottages, his paintings capture a whimsical world full of warmth and imagination.
“I wanted to stand out from other artists, so I developed my own unique style — whimsical, romantic and happy; quirky and two-dimensional, with an intriguing air of fantasy blended with a touch of reality.”
The event was due to showcase a selection of rare limited editions alongside brand-new original works.

Gary is a contemporary marine artist loving his subject of quirky boats at low tide. Harbours and their assortment of buildings are a strong feature of his work and often lead him into painting quirky lopsided cottages too.
“I wanted to be different from all the other artists so started to develop my own unique personal style. It’s very whimsical, romantic and happy; quirky, two-dimensional with a slight intriguing air of fantasy combined with a twist of reality within.”
On the day we will be showcasing some of Gary’s rare limited editions as well as brand new original works. Meet Gary for a chat and photo opportunity as well as signing and dedicating work for collectors.
