Now spring is finally here, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the Spring 2017 releases from some of our top contemporary artists. Over the coming weeks, we will be displaying a number of exciting new artworks – which will also be available to order or pre-order online.
Explore the magical world of artists including Nic Joly, Peter Smith and David Rees. From miniature sculptures to TV-inspired paintings and illusionary wall art, each piece will bring something special to your home.
We’re also excited to showcase work from some exiting new talent….
Self-taught artist and musician Andrew Kinsman sold his first piece of art when he was only 12 years old, and has painted commissions for celebrities and royalty. Inspired by Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists including Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec and Cézanne, Andrew’s latest collection, Café Society, focuses on the cafés and restaurants of Paris. Aiming to capture the colour palette and sense of style of the 1950s, Andrew says his lack of formal training helps him to capture the perfect snapshot of real life.
Nicky Litchfield has been hugely popular since her gallery debut this spring. Nicky paints traditional subject matters such as hares, foxes and livestock from her studio in the picturesque village of Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley. Working mainly in pastel with a playful use of line and colour she produces delightful, contemporary artworks full of character and charm.
Carly Ashdown brings stunning figurative work to the gallery with her two new releases The Tide and The Discovery. Carly’s earliest memories are of picking up a pencil and drawing pictures of people. Carly was fascinated by human interaction and as a child these imaginative sketches were her way of processing the world around her. They helped her understand the world and her place in it, and creating the illusionary quality of movement allows her to experience a feeling of release.
