What is limited edition art?

Limited edition art is a translation of an original piece of art. Many limited editions are hand-embellished by a team of highly-skilled atelier assistants to create a limited edition piece of art which is very hard to distinguish from the piece of art it originated from.

What is an edition size?

Unlike open edition prints – which are cheaper, mass-produced art or poster prints – each piece of limited edition art at Treeby & Bolton is limited to a fixed number, which protects its authenticity and value. Your piece of limited edition art will be sequentially numbered and signed by the artist, usually on the bottom right hand corner of the piece.

What is a giclée print?

Giclée printing is a form of printing that results in an extremely accurate and high quality representation of an image. Using fade-resistant, archival inks, a giclée piece of art faithfully reflects the vibrant colours, textures and intricate detail of an original piece of art.

How is the authenticity of a piece of art proven?

We are committed to protecting the integrity of each piece of art we sell. In order to guarantee the authenticity of our art, each piece is sold with a bespoke certificate and is signed by the artist.
