Please read these Product Terms & Conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Treeby & Bolton makes items available to you.
1. Descriptions, prices and product information
We have taken care to describe and show items as accurately as possible. Despite this, slight variations in items may occur. We provide you with product information on treebybolton.co.uk. If there is anything which you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please contact the gallery on 017687 72443 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown for items are correct at the time they are added to the website. The price offered in respect of an item on the website may differ from the price offered at the same time in the Treeby & Bolton Shop or Gallery. We are under no obligation to honour any in-store price or promotion in the event that it differs from those on the treebybolton.co.uk.
If, by mistake, we have under priced an item, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item to you. In those circumstances, we will notify the correct price to you so you can decide whether or not you wish to order the item at that price. If you decide not to order the item, we will give you a full refund on any amount already paid for that item in accordance with our refund policy.
The price of an item does not include the delivery charge, which will depend on the delivery method you choose. The rate applicable for the delivery charge will be calculated at the date you place your order. For more information on delivery arrangements see delivery information.
We try to ensure that we always stock the full product range. If an item is out of stock it will be labelled out of stock on the website. If for any other reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item.
3. Acceptance of Order
If you buy an item from treebybolton.co.uk on the phone, in-store or online you will be charged for an item at the time you place your order. Your order becomes binding as soon as it has been accepted by Treeby & Bolton, subject to your rights of cancellation. It is your responsibility to check that all the details and aspects of your order are correct and that the goods are suitable for your requirements (including product features, measurements, dimensions, delivery and access) when we send through your order acknowledgement email.
Delivery will be made to the address specified when you complete the order. Alternatively you can collect directly from Treeby & Bolton.
We use a variety of delivery methods, depending on the size of the item you order and the speed with which you wish to receive it. For more information on delivery arrangements and prices see delivery information.
Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your items within 30 days of the date of your order, we shall not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control. We shall contact you to let you know if we are having any problems getting an item to you within that time.
Sometimes a signature is required at delivery. By placing an order you are authorising us to accept signature from another person on your behalf if you need to sign for an item and you are not present at the time of delivery. For some items that do not require a signature at delivery you may be able to give instructions explaining if and where you would like the item to be left if no one is present at the time of delivery, such as with a neighbour. We also use third party delivery companies which may, at their discretion, leave an item in a safe place if no one is present at the time of delivery. In these circumstances the delivery company will put a card through your letter box explaining where it has left the item.
Goods must be returned to us within 28 days of receipt, undamaged and in their original packaging.
You are responsible for the cost of returning your item(s) to us, unless you received a faulty, damaged or wrongly despatched item. You can return an item to us via the method of your choice.
Please repack your item with care using all the original packaging. As the goods are your responsibility until they reach our store. Please ensure you package your return to prevent any damage to the items or boxes.
We will inspect the returned item and will notify you of your refund or replacement via email. We try to process returns as soon as possible once they have reached our store.
We will typically refund any money owed to you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. If it’s not possible we will contact you via phone or email.
We cannot accept returns of washed and/or used textile (cushions, rugs, throws), candles, or of products with non-replaceable LED bulbs after use of the bulb beyond its recommended lifespan.
Items which require assembly cannot be returned for a refund or exchange after they have been assembled.
Returned goods found to be used, damaged, marked or scratched will not be refunded or exchanged, and will be returned to you. This also applies if an item has not been packaged properly and has been damaged in transit back to us. We may issue a partial refund via credit note at our discretion
We cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit when using Royal Mail, or any other alternative return service which are not arranged via our team. Postage charges for returned products are the full responsibility of the purchaser, and are non-refundable.
If you wish to cancel your whole order and return it to us, under the Distance Selling Regulations, you must let us know within 14 working days of receiving your parcel. Please call us on 01768772443 or inform us via email at email@example.com. You will then need to return the whole order to us, at your own expense if you have already received it. Once we receive the whole order back we will issue a full refund via your original method of payment.
In Store Returns:
We please ask that all purchases made in store are returned to our stores within 28 days. You’re welcome to do this in person or by posting the items back to us. Our return address:
Treeby & Bolton Ltd – Returns
12 Lake Road
Please provide proof of purchase with your original receipt and ensure products are returned in original packaging. If posting, please include a completed returns form.
Damaged / Faulty Goods
Please ensure that you check all items on receipt, as faulty or damaged items must be reported within 8 working days of receiving the parcel, or within 30 days should the fault develop after receipt.
You will need to send us a picture of the damaged / faulty item prior to any refund or replacement being issued. If you cannot send us pictures of the damage / fault, you will need to return the item to us, at your own expense. We will then inspect the item and if our inspection confirms the damage / fault, we will refund your return cost (please note we will only refund the collection cost we would charge) and issue a replacement (if in-stock) or a refund as appropriate.
If an item is agreed to be faulty or defective, you will not be responsible for covering the returns postage cost
Please note, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, any manufacturing fault occurring within 6 months of receiving your product, we will offer a replacement or a refund.
We cannot be held responsible for items that are damaged due to the result of normal wear and tear.
Please DO NOT attempt to assemble or fix an item yourself or via a third party as this will affect your entitlement to a refund, compensation or reimbursement. We also ask that you do not return a faulty item without contacting our us first.
You can pay by cash (in-store only), Mastercard or Visa credit card, Maestro, Solo or Delta debit card. We also accept Treeby & Bolton Gift Vouchers. We unfortunately cannot accept any other type of card.
Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted by Sagepay to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure.
Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. If there is a problem taking payment for all or part of your order we will contact you by email (or by telephone if you have not given us an email address). All goods remain the property of Treeby & Bolton until full and final payment has cleared our bank.
7. Free gifts and promotional items
Free gifts and promotional items that are given away in conjunction with a purchase may be dispatched to you separately and delivery times may vary.
If you change your mind and return your item under the returns policy above you must also return any free gift or promotional item associated with the promotion and received by you as a result of that order.
Free gifts and promotional items are subject to availability.
8. Our responsibility to you

Our products are for personal use only and our liability shall not in any event include business losses such as lost data, lost profits or business interruption.
This paragraph 9 shall not limit or affect our liability resulting from any products sold being found to be unsafe or if something we do negligently causes death or personal injury.
Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the items.
You may not transfer any of your rights under these Product Terms & Conditions to any other person. We may transfer our rights under these Product Terms & Conditions to another business where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.
If you breach these Product Terms & Conditions and we choose to ignore this, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach these Product Terms & Conditions.
We shall not be responsible for any breach of these Product Terms & Conditions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
