Cats, Kisses & Cuddles – Ryder

We are exciting to be showcasing an exhibition of limited edition and original work from elusive artist Ryder from Saturday 8th April until Saturday 22nd April.
Little is known about Ryder as he prefers his art to speak for itself and not be overshadowed by subjectivity or background. Bursting onto the art scene in 2014, his unique style and intriguing persona has built up a wide range of collectors across the country.

This collection uses a combination of oils, acrylics and pencils to create emotion, drama and detail, which results in an overriding sense of adventure. After starting with a dark base, shadows and forms are brought out by contrasting them with bold colours and eye-catching light.

As an artist who breathes narrative into visual art, Ryder’s new collection brings the theme of escapism to the viewer. From the innocence of childhood, to the joy of falling in love, and even the calm of the home, Ryder invites us to leave the realities of daily life behind in favour of the simple appreciation of art.

Ryder says of his work “it was inspired by the need to escape from the sometimes harsh realities of this world. The ability to escape in art, without looking for the motives of the artist, is something that I strive for.

“Looking to the future, I aim to keep bringing in new ideas, new characters, new stories and adventures!”

“We are exited to showcase a collection of Ryder’s original work as well as new limited edition prints – the intrigue generated by Ryder’s elusive persona is one of the things that adds to his popularity. This combined with the talent demonstrated throughout his collection, makes him a continually relevant artist” Paula
