The Antiques Roadshow veteran was joined by Nicola Slaney the designer of the Ashness Bridge vase and collectors flocked in to have theirs signed underneath by Eric and Nicola, alongside the Treeby & Bolton backstamp.

Among them was Joan Holder, from Keswick, who said: “It was fascinating listening to them both and then having my vase signed by them in gold pen. I even had a my photo taken with Eric!”

Eric particularly liked the vase and there were a lot of lovely stories from customers on the day.

“It was a really great day and a pleasure to meet all the Moorcroft collectors. I always love coming to Keswick and looking around the gallery – I especially enjoy the cake downstairs!” Eric Knowles

The winners of the framed original watercolour, signed by Nicola herself, were Mr & Mrs Pooley from Cockermouth.

For those who missed out on Saturday, Nicola will be signing a limited number of the vases with her gold pen at Moorcroft before they are sent to the Keswick gallery. For further information, please contact the gallery.
