Meet celebrated Moorcroft designer, Nicola Slaney, on Saturday 20th September at Treeby & Bolton.
Nicola will be presenting her latest design – Sweetheart.

Sweetheart, has its own special hidden oddity, the clue being in the title. Among flourishes of purple, pink and yellow iris petals and soft, sage-coloured leaves on this attractive jug, sits a blushed-pink little heart, outlined by the contours of such a delicate design. However, to tell you exactly where the heart appears would surely ruin the fun and so it remains for you to explore.

About Nicola Slaney
Nicola achieved a high designer profile when Moorcroft witnessed a sell-out in six weeks of her millennium 50-piece limited edition, Jerusalem, at a retail price of more than £11,000! Another Nicola Slaney design, Anna Lily, a best-selling range, is still in production today after fifteen years, lovingly freshened-up with new shapes for 2014. Nicola’s reputation continues to grow by the year.
Her ranges, The Nursery and Stitch in Time, both of which are recent departures for Moorcroft, continue to be popular in their second year of production, designed with children and their nurseries in mind.
After the huge success of Nicola’s design, Peacock Parade for Moorcroft’s centenary in 2013, we see the range in this year’s catalogue along with new geometrical range Cinco in two colour ways (Cinco Red and Cinco Blue) and also the ever-popular range, Blue Heaven.
Nicola’s final addition for the 2014 catalogue is a delightfully playful design, in which we see the furry faces of a panda and a tiger, the mighty tusks of an elephant and the pink nose of a zebra, all poking out from the safety of Noah’s ark. It is a colourful and spirited sight and one which has captured the imagination of both child and adult for thousands of years- a fine example of how Nicola’s designs never fail to delight collectors around the world whatever their age.
