We invite you to meet Moorcroft designer, Rachel Bishop on Saturday 10th October, 12–3pm in the gallery.
Rachel will be launching her latest design, ‘Lattice Wings’, a beautiful lidded bowl created exclusively for Treeby & Bolton.
ABOUT LATTICE WINGS
- Shape: 147/5 (Diameter 5”/12.5cm)
- Edition: Open
Rachel’s idea for a lidded Moorcroft bowl sees elements of the elegant Arts and Crafts stylization synonymous with Moorcroft, but its intricate latticework is also reminiscent of handcrafted jewellery. The black framework boldly outlines the delicate webbing of the butterfly wings, which could almost be made out of shards of coloured glass or fragments of sapphire. This special keepsake box would sit perfectly on the dressing table of a bejewelled lady.
